Here's an interview i did with upcoming Rapper Millionaire Rob When reading the interview you will find that he's quite different from most rappers, that's what hip hop needs = ]. So take some time out to check out his mixtape
Slow burn. it's hot shit .....

Where are you from?
-I'm from Flint, Michigan, a place you should be warned about.
When did you start rapping, and what made you want to start?
-I started rapping a little over two years ago. Initially I wanted to write for other artists, preferably ones I deal with. But, when I started writing it became so personal and therapeutic I started realizing I was answering something that was inside me.
Who are your music influences?
Michael Jackson, Snoop, Marvin Gaye, Top Authority. Really, just good music. I'm a big fan of good music in general no matter the genre.
What do you do besides rapping?
-Besides rap? This is my everything. From the time I wake to the time I doze off at night. But, I also am putting together a team of business minded individuals who specialize in marketing and branding. When I'm not doing that I'm usually traveling somewhere spending time with a beautiful lady thats focused on being rich.
Have you experienced any jealousy or negative energy since you started making moves?
-Yes and no. I know it exists, but I don't give it enough attention or energy to say I actually experience it. I've been hated since I could remember being loved. It's just up to you to decide which one you focus on.
Describe your Mixtape Slowburn, and what fans can expect to hear on it?
-Slow Burn is everything you want it to be. It's fly, smooth, relaxing, yet it still has street appeal suitable for pop culture. It was made to be viewed as a movie with each track to resemble scenes from a movie. Furthermore it tells a story that is coherent with the theme of the Tape.
How do you feel about the current state of hip hop?
-It's cool, I believe as a whole it has grown a lot minus...the bullshit.
If given the opportunity, Who would you like to collaborate with?
-Michael Jackson. He just sold 750,000 tickets in 4 hours. Somehow through all the controversy he has still maintained a cult-like following. His music will always out weigh the bull shit that goes on his life. Thats something everyone needs to learn from myself to President Obama.
What separates you from other rappers?
-I would honestly leave that up to the listener. I could say one thing but a fan could say the exact opposite. Some of the things I hear about most is my overall sound, my ability to tell stories in a conversational form. Let me quote something someone told me the other day. She told me loved my "ability to transform simple words and phrases into melodic memories that reside in the mind well after the song is over, giving my music the magic to induce an array of indescribable feelings." Now there is no way in hell I could of just told you myself that's what makes me different. So, I think it's more important to let the listener decide.
What other music do you enjoy listening to besides hip hop?
-Lately, I haven't really listened to much hip-hop. I'm really into indie-rock, I love Jazz. I love "Kind Of Blue" by Miles Davis. That record can put me in a place where nothing in the world can bother me. I'm really passionate about politics in general so at times some of the issues affecting us as people can take over my thoughts. So music is the perfect outlet.
If you could meet someone dead or alive, who would it be?
-My Grandpa. I know he has some good stories for me since he left.
What are your thoughts about people saying Lil Wayne is the best rapper alive?
-I think it's dope. It shows me that if you work hard enough you will get the recognition you deserve. I applaud him no matter what I think about his music personally. His work ethic should be admired by all.
Are you signed with a record label, If so how did this come about?
Nope. Unsigned and not looking for a deal, more so looking to connect with the people. That's my only focus at the time, well that and getting better.
Where can people go to listen to your music, or contact you?
-They can look me up anywhere on the internet. Myspace, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter and also MillionaireRob.com is coming real soon.
